Leadership at Camp Pinnacle for Girls

Glen Gray

Owner and Executive Director of Camp Pinnacle, has a life-long association with the camp. His father, Mike, and uncle, Gary, were both Pinnacle campers, as was his older brother, Jeff. Glen’s two children, Joshua and Daniel, are also Pinnacle Boys who have continued on as staff members.

Glen has a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Resource and Forestry Management from Clemson University. He directed both 4-H camps and Boy Scouts of America camps before joining Pinnacle in 1994. Glen and his wife, Elizabeth, reside on the property year round.

Daniel Gray

Director, is the second of Glen and Elizabeth’s sons to wear the title of director. Daniel has worked at camp since he was a CIT. He has also worked for the YMCA in their after-school outreach program and as the site manager for their summer outreach program.

Lorie Alexander

Office Manager, has lived in Hendersonville since 1969. She attended Appalachian State University and received her degree in Early Childhood Education with a Concentration in Elementary Education. Lorie taught K-2 in eastern North Carolina for 10 years before moving back to Hendersonville, her family, and the mountains. She left teaching and started at Pinnacle in February 2002. Lorie lives on site and is an avid tennis player. Three of her nieces attend Camp Pinnacle for Girls.

Roger Losey

Maintenance Director, has been with Camp Pinnacle since spring of 2006. He has 35 years experience in residential and commercial grounds and building maintenance, carpentry, and construction. He was an EMT for several years and received a Master Gardner Certification in 2004. A lifelong musician, Roger plays lead guitar with a country, classic, and southern rock band in western North Carolina. He also enjoys oil painting, archery, and fishing. He and his wife, Shelly, have been married for 30 years and have two daughters and one grandson.
