Work at Summer Camp Pinnacle for Girls

Camp Pinnacle has a number of summer positions available for mature leaders who love the outdoors and enjoy working with girls. Your title and position will be determined by three criteria: age, camp experience, and instructional experience.

CIT (counselor-in-training)

CITs are 16 years old on or before the opening of camp. They usually come through the Adventure Trek or through the in-camp program. They assist regular counselors in the cabin and at activities.

Jr. Counselor

Junior Counselors are 17 years old on or before the opening day of camp. Most Junior Counselors have been CITs. Junior Counselors have both cabin and activity responsibilities under the supervision of counselors.

Program Staff

Program Staff are 21 years old on or before the opening day of camp. Program Staff do not have cabin responsibilities; however, they are highly experienced and have the necessary certifications to manage as well as teach their unique specialty.

Senior Staff

Senior Staff bring previous camp management experience and leadership skills. They oversee other staff members, communicate with parents, handle administrative functions, and remain closely involved in the program along with the campers and counselors.

Most CITs, JR. Counselors, and Counselors are hired for either the Girls’ Camp or the Girls’ camp. There are a few ten week positions available for activity specialists, lifeguards, horseback instructors, and kitchen employees.
